Hey! i'm back.. again!
Actually, i was around every weekend except for the last. confined for the field camp.
In fact, i have so much to say about army and SAF for the past whole month but there's really too much stuff to be said.
To sum it all up, army really will train the men out of you; in order to stay out of the commander's radar of idiots, you seriously have to follow instructions. fair enough to say, i was pretty much suffering from the start. WHY?
because there's alot of idiot-proof stuffs that i really have no idea about.
Who doesn't know how to tie boots? ME
Who doesn't know how to tie a very deadly knot? ME
This two stuffs really affected my mindset at the start of BMT. i thought to myself how useless i was for being totally clueless about the two stuff. but guess what's the trick for such situations? TELL yourself that you're learning something new, do not ever be harsh on yourself.
It applies to other aspects of your life too, when you get into matters where you despise on yourself, nothing good is gonna come out of it. so do one thing.. THINK POSITIVELY!
We're trained to learn the importance of cleaniness, we stand-by-area almost every day. you should try standing by your own room frequently and let your mum check every other day. It'll definitely help you. trust me. you'll realise that you can actually be clean.
Also during this period, i have learn't to live without the existence of computer. the only thing close to home that can be found in our bunk is the radio. that is about all that connects us to the outside world. the only thing that makes us feel.. alittle like home. wait. let's not forget the mp3! or rather, my excess supply of oreo double stuff. yummm~
The ultimate mentality in NS is.. decieve yourself. believe that everyday is your last day of service. i bet you would feel positive and show a bit of eagerness. but then again.. who can actually achieve that? NOT ME.
thats why i'm feeling half hearted about giving my best for national service ever since i substained my injury.
I CAN'T FUCKING GET INTO COMMANDO SCHOOL. i feel pretty demoralised and it seems that i'm fighting aimlessly. ALL my mindsets about attending command school has been torn up by just 60 mili secs of clumsiness. ):
